Our lecturers, assistant professor Nikolina Borčić, Ph.D., and assistant professor Mirela Holy, Ph.D. participated again this year in the organization of the online Summer School - Building Resilience in the Time of Covid-19 Pandemic
The International Summer School - Building Resilience in the Time of Covid-19 Pandemic was held from June 15th to June 17th 2021. This year the school is hosted by the University of Warmadewa in Denpasar, Bali with Croatian academic partners, one of which is VERN University. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the summer school was held online this year as well, and in addition to Lampung University Indonesia, Warmadewa Bali University, the organizers were the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Zagreb and VERN ’University.
This is the third year that VERN’ University has been collaborating with Indonesian universities, the collaboration is led by our lecturers, assistant professor Nikolina Borčić, Ph.D., assistant professor Mirela Holy, Ph.D., and Marija Slijepčević, univ.spec.oec.
In addition to participating in the organization of the summer school, our lecturers also held online lectures on these topics. The lecture Creating a national image in the media during a pandemic was held by assistant professor Nikolina Borčić, Ph.D., and the topic The role of strategic communication in the COVID-19 post truth era was held by assistant professor Mirela Holy Ph.D.
VERN ’University has been cooperating with the Universities of Bandar Lampung and Bali since 2019. The cooperation began with the Summer School in Indonesia, continued with the online summer school organized by the Croatian institutions, and this year, the online summer school organized by the Indonesians.
The collaboration includes the joint academic work of VERN and Indonesian higher education institutions by visiting Indonesian lecturers, publishing joint papers in scientific publications and a summer school that has traditionally been held for the past 3 years.
