The purpose of this trip was to provide students with new insights into what intercultural communication and business look like in an international context, and what skills they need to successfully navigate a multicultural environment.
As part of a study-related trip in Marketing Management, VERN's specialist graduate students visited the UAE's business centers, Dubai and Abu Dhabi to gain insight into intercultural communication and business in an international context.
Choosing Dubai was a great opportunity for students to learn all the benefits of international business and business opportunities in one of the fastest growing cities in the world - Dubai today has about 4 million inhabitants, of whom about 85 percent are foreigners from all over the world, who came to try their business luck in a city of immense opportunities.
This is why the study trip aimed at enabling students to experience first-hand the atmosphere of a city that is changing at such a rapid rate and offers many opportunities, inspiration and incentive to find a career of their own.
Furthermore, it was an opportunity to experience what a combination of different cultures, religions, nations, etc. looks like and how business in such a diverse environment can enrich us in many ways. They have gained new insights into what intercultural communication and business look like in an international context, and what skills they need to successfully navigate a multicultural environment.
