Student-powered Kliofest

VERN ’University students broadcast a live stream of this year’s Kliofest

Kliofest

In the spirit of academic cooperation, VERN' University was involved in the organization of the history festival as a production partner.

The eighth edition of the Kliofest history festival was held at the National and University Library in Zagreb in mid-May this year. Despite the epidemiological restrictions it was a first-class cultural event.

During the four days of this festival the interested public could watch numerous forums, panel discussions, conferences as well as presentations of historiographical and publishing projects and institutions via a live stream and with a limited visit to the events.

In the spirit of academic cooperation, VERN’ University also joined the organization of this year’s Kliofest as the festival’s production partner, providing significant technical and human resources. Students of VERN's art studies played a key role in the realization of this production-demanding project.

As part of field classes in the courses Television Recording and Television in Theory and Practice, VERN’s students, with the support of their lecturers-mentors Miljenko Bukovčan, Radoslav Pažameta, and Petar Vučetić, enabled the following important events of the first two days of the festival via live stream on YouTube.

After the broadcast of the first pre-election debate of Zagreb candidates for Mayor, held in April at VERN', this is the second public event this semester where students of art studies had the opportunity to hone their production skills and gain new practical experiences, but also to contribute to informing the public, for which we thank them.
