VERN’s contribution to the development of innovative entrepreneurship in Međimurje and Vis

The project for the development of socially innovative hubs ended with the publication of the "Manual for rural development using mobile rural hubs".

The project for the development of pop-up rural social-innovative hubs in selected rural areas in Međimurje and on the island of Vis has been completed.

VERN ’participated as a partner in defining the methodology of rural hubs, testing the methodology and educating stakeholders and partners for conducting mentoring activities on innovative and entrepreneurial projects.

Other project partners: LAG Međimurski doli i bregi, LAG Škoji, ACT Association, and academic partners the Faculty of Organization and Informatics from Varaždin and Križevci Collage of Agriculture also participated in the development of the methodology.

For the implementation of this project, our lecturer M.Sc. Gordana Ćorić and assistant professor Jadranka Ivanković, Ph.D. held workshops on Entrepreneurship, Design Thinking and Marketing for the representatives of civil society organizations and for students of all three universities.

The knowledge and useful tips accumulated during the work on this project were compiled in the "Manual for rural development using mobile rural hubs". The implementation of the project ended with this publication. One of the editors was our lecturer Gordana Ćorić.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank VERN's students who participated in the testing of the rural mobile hub on the island of Vis: Filip Antić, Ivan Roko Berač, Monika Čataković, Mateo Faber, Tamara Knežević, Klara Krunić, Laura Lapenda, Tonći Pešić, Lucija Svetec, Davor Ante Tadić, Ema Vukelić and Luka Živko.
