The scholarship is awarded by Steiermärkische Sparkasse in collaboration with the University of Graz and is a one-year internship at the headquarters of Steiermärkische Sparkasse.

VERN's graduate student in Entrepreneurial Management, Zrinka Mrkonjic, has been awarded the prestigious 'Best of South-East' scholarship by Ersta Bank.

The scholarship program includes a one-year internship at Sparkasse Bank and study at Karl-Franzens University in Graz, and our Zrinka is the first student from VERN's academic community to receive this scholarship and is also our first exchange student at the University of Graz.

Best of South East was started in 2008 by Steiermärkische Bank und Sparkassen AG in cooperation with the University of Graz and is implemented in Croatia by Erste Bank. In addition to Croatia the program is intended for students from Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro. It aims to enable talented students, law and economics graduates to further educate themselves and gain relevant business experience in an international environment.
