Course objectives
Introduce students to the basic concepts of financial accounting and use of accounting information in making business decisions. Acquire the basic concepts and categories of accounting, master the basics, concepts and techniques applied in the analysis and records of business events as well as preparing financial statements. Understand and interpret the information in the financial statements, and acquire basic knowledge needed in related disciplines. Apply the acquired knowledge to other areas of expertise and disciplines.

Introduce students to the basic terms in management, its historical development and the development of basic managerial functions; Discuss relevant issues of modern management, which will enable students to identify and overcome existing and potential problems that managers encounter when making decisions in changing business environment. Provide the understanding of relationships among key managerial functions.

Provide basic knowledge and skills necessary for the use of basic concepts, principles, criteria, rules, methods, procedures and techniques relevant for making rational financial decisions on investments, financing and managing the assets of companies. Refer students to the necessity of identifying changes in the environment and within the enterprise, so as to make appropriate adjustments in the implementation of financial policies. Acquire competences necessary for completing professional tasks in the context of the financial functions of the company.

Course objectives
The course objective is to provide basic knowledge, vocabulary and structures necessary to understand basic concepts in tourism industry in Italian language. The course will enable students to communicate with Italian speaking visitors at the basic level in Italian language in the hospitality and hotel industry environment. Furthermore, it will develop linguistic skills (speaking, reading with comprehension, listening, writing) as well as fluency and accuracy at the A2 level according to the CEFR.

Define the most important basic concepts and trends in tourism.
Describe the activities and most important occupations related to tourism.
Identify the most important basic reasons for travel.
Describe the basic features of different means of transport.
Display specific travel arrangements through travel agents and different types of travel.
Apply in the appropriate situation the basic terms related to the stay of tourists in the destination.
Use in an appropriate manner the most important terms and vocabulary relating to the organization and preparation of tourist trips.
Demonstrate general language competence at level a1 or a2 of the common european framework of reference for languages (cefr) in italian language.

Enable students to communicate with guests and business partners in the course of business and negotiations meetings, as well as conferences and events. Encourage students to follow latest trends in tourism and become life-long language learners.

Present products, services, ideas, landmarks, tourist attractions, projects and business opportunities in tourism.
Describe types and forms of tourism, different market segments and appropriate ways of marketing, advertising and promotion.
Explain the importance of collecting guest feedback and maintaining a customer loyalty program.
Explain main statistical indicators in tourism.
Go through all phases of a simple business or negotiation meeting.
Use terminology connected to organization of meetings, incentives, conferences and events.
Present trends in tourism, basic terms of sustainable tourism and examples or responsible tourist behavior.
Use basic language competences, some at B2 some at C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
Course objectives
Facilitate students’ understanding of the concept of tourist boards as well as their types, the process of registration, tasks, legal acts, ways of generating revenue and models of selecting representatives to serve in tourist board bodies. Provide an insight into the management and organisation of tourist boards. Provide students with knowledge and skills necessary for developing tourism, analysing the indicators of tourist traffic and designing and managing the preparation and implementation of tourist board activities and project.

Develop a promotional campaign or a destination marketing project.
Manage the preparation or implementation of activities/projects in coordination with other entities.
